New head of the Family Division appointed

1 min read

The Right Honourable Lord Justice Munby has been appointed President of the Family Division of the High Court, following the retirement of Sir Nicholas Wall earlier this month.

He will take up his new role on 11 January next year. Mr Justice Holman is Acting President in the interim.

Lord Justice Munby was called to the Bar in 1971, and is a former member of New Square Chambers. He became a QC (Queen’s Counsel) in 1988 and a high court judge in the Family Division in 2000.

In 2009 he became a Lord Justice of Appeal and was appointed to the Privy Council shortly afterwards. He also served as Chairman of the Law Commission from 2009 to 2012.

Lord Justice Munby was appointed President of the Family Division by Her Majesty The Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister and the Lord Chancellor. Their advice was based on the recommendation of an independent selection panel chaired by Lord Neuberger, the President of the Supreme Court

opposepredatoryguardians has been long set up to campaign for justice for the elderly whom have capacity and are being targeted by greedy elite under the guise of protection and privacy. They committed fraud, theft, mal administration and criminal neglect upon my mother and justice is still at large. Common law justice served upon the offender’s has resulted in a prison order for the carer/son.
