Reluctant Dad collared for child support after posing with cash on Facebook

1 min read

A Milwaukee father who has reportedly not made a single chid support payment for his two year daughter has been arrested after posting photos of himself posing with cash on social networking site Facebook.

Christopher Robinson 23, had refused to pay child support, claiming he could not afford it and was destitute. The local courts were sceptical and ordered Facebook to give the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office access to Robinson’s account.

According to news site UPI.com:

“Facebook can help police build child support cases with evidence of a lifestyle out of line with payment.”

Within the man’s account, officials at the attorney’s office found several photographs of the reluctant father posing with dollar bills and bottles of alcohol.

Robinson was arrested and now faces a number of felony charges.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Kent Lovern said: “[Facebook] is a great investigative tool for us because it gives us a glimpse into their real lives that our targets may be living.”
