Saturday 28 July saw the Prudential RideLondon race take place and Julian Hawkhead, a senior partner at Stowe Family Law was one of the 30,000 cyclists that took to the roads.
Despite the driving rain, Julian cycled with his wife Liz on the 100-mile challenge racing on the same closed roads as the professionals and raising an impressive £1550 for bowel cancer at the same time.
Founded in 2013, the festival was developed by the Mayor of London and is a fantastic platform to help fulfil The Mayor and Transport for London’s goal of encouraging more people to cycle more safely, more often.
Now in its sixth year, the event is a lasting legacy of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games and has so far raised over £53 million for charity.
The seventh edition will take place over the weekend if the 3-4 August 2019.
Well done to Julian and Liz on this fantastic achievement.
