Helen Hanson

Training and experience

Helen studied Law at Coventry University between 1999 and 2002. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course, part time, at the Birmingham College of Law in 2005, whilst working in a fee earning capacity alongside.

Helen qualified as a Legal Executive in 2006 and went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2010.

In her previous role, Helen was a Partner and Head of Matrimonial Services at Star Legal, based in Bromsgrove.

Helen joined Stowe’s Cheltenham office in October 2023.

Specialisms 

Helen is a skilled solicitor with a focus on financial dispute resolution, including high net worth cases involving business assets, property portfolios, and pensions. She also provides expert guidance on all aspects of child arrangements following relationship breakdowns for both married and unmarried couples.

With a particular interest in Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements, Helen ensures her clients are well-informed and protected in their relationships.

In cases of domestic abuse, Helen has a proven record of efficiently handling emergency Court applications to safeguard her clients and their children. Her dedication to providing timely legal solutions underscores her commitment to client safety and well-being.

Helen’s primary goal is to seek pragmatic and cost-effective resolutions to disputes, enabling all parties involved to move forward constructively. Her approach is marked by a supportive attitude towards clients seeking amicable resolutions, coupled with a determined assertiveness during negotiations to secure the most favorable outcomes on their behalf.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Helen’s life centers around her family, which includes her husband, two young children, and their beloved sproodle, Frankie. She enjoys moments of retail therapy and the occasional spa day to unwind. A notable passion in her life is being a dedicated Take That super fan. Since 1993, she has enthusiastically attended live performances on every tour, at least once.
